About

Hello, I am Nathan Interial, the founder of Journey of Hope and Courage, LLC. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of New Mexico with a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from the Liberty University of Lynchburg Virginia, and I am certified in RTM Protocol (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories). I am also a mental health professional and offer online psychotherapy services.

Reaching out for help can be difficult and scary, but I believe therapeutic relationships should be about trust and openness. With a 15-minute meeting, I plan to provide a safe and comfortable environment to help you achieve your personal goals. For each client, My approach to therapy is to understand and honor a client’s experiences in an authentic and genuine way. All efforts to reach out and take your first steps will be acknowledged, heard, and treated with dignity and acceptance. With small and big steps, we will work to explore, process, and manage the areas in your life that you may be having difficulty with.

I have the privilege to be in a career that allows me to assist others ranging from families, couples, and individuals. All possibly dealing with anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, addiction, or any life transitions. Many of their personal struggles go unseen every day or suppressed through years of pain, if you felt seen while reading my website or would like to read more, please feel free to reach out.

To help you get to know me a little more. When I am not in the office, you could find me on a bike ride, relaxing out on the trails. This is a time for me to clear my mind and shed the weight of the week. When I’m home, I love to cook and create new dishes for my wife and two kids. While they can be my hardest critics, I do enjoy the challenge and the reward when dinner is enjoyed by all.

Learn About the Creation of Journey of Hope and Courage, LLC

Creating Journey of Hope and Courage, I believe that hope can lead people to a better and more fulling life, no matter how big or how small their hope is. Knowing that it will take a lot of courage to start walking the journey of healing and overcoming the past.

I too experience daily struggles and challenges in my professional and personal life and understand the fear and anxiety that may come with taking your first steps. In all of my meetings with clients, I strive to offer a comforting and accepting atmosphere for them to express themselves and their concerns openly. Making sure to give each client the care and attention they deserve.

Why I Pursued a Career In Counseling

Helping people reach their full potential is one of my passions and goals in therapy. In life, we have people who enter seasons of our life. These people can leave us in a worse or better condition than before they entered our life. My hope as your therapist is to enter a season of your life to help stand against what may be holding you back from having the life you want.

It is important that you know that I do not define a person based on the experiences and struggles they have or are dealing with. You have been impacted by life, but there is more to you than what is causing hurt and pain in your life. You can hold unlimited potential once you start believing that you can achieve it. While I know that starting to dig through your pain, and feelings is not an easy or comfortable thing to do, it does not mean that it has to be done forcefully or unwillingly.

My approach to helping you is to use empathy, compassion, acceptance, and light-heartedness in session to shed these layers that are weighing you down. For me, when you are reaching the end of therapy, looking back and seeing the person that first entered into the session, and then being able to identify how your journey has created the changes you have strived for and achieved. This is one of the greatest joys and something you and everyone deserves to experience.
